As a landscape architect I have been privileged to work with Hamid Hekmat of HrH many times over the years. It has been a delight to prepare garden design plans for not just houses that exude old world charm, but that are very particular to accurate, historic detailing, of excellent proportion, appearing that they just grew from their surroundings. We have photographed two projects for HrH Architecture. Both beautiful residences in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their direction was clear and they were as enthusiastic about the photograph and they were about the project themselves. We photographed from early morning until sunset capturing both the nuance and grandeur of the homes. We worked together on a couple of projects and I was always struck by how likable Hamid is and how easy the design process went. The other one was a very large wing addition to an already substantial home. The addition looked exactly like the other part of the house. The architecture melded perfectly.

Hamid worked tirelessly for us on a project that continued to grow and change as it progressed. He designed a total outdoor transformation, to include a beautiful pool with a "beach" area,  he also designed a separate extremely space-efficient guest house, designed a new front door for the main residence, and made outside modifications to the main residence to provide for roofed awnings over doors, all looking like it was originally built this way. Everything flows magnificently and one would never realize it wasn't like this from the beginning. Hamid is a creative and talented architect, and we are fortunate to have found him.
